WHY CHOOSE CG COUNSELING & CONSULTING?
Professional Experience. Compassionate Support.
Choosing a counselor is a personal decision. Experience, understanding, and a therapeutic approach that fits your needs can all be important parts of that decision.
Cathy has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups, along with experience working at Brynn Marr psychiatric Hospital, crisis team, and private-practice settings.
Client-Centered Care
Your concerns, experiences, strengths, and goals are central to the counseling process.
Evidence-Based Approaches
Therapeutic techniques are selected according to your needs and may include CBT, CPT, mindfulness, and other approaches.
Broad Counseling Experience
Cathy has over 16 years experience in the Mental Health field and has been in private practice
Culturally Sensitive Support
I have lived overseas for almost 15 years while serving in the U.S. Navy for 7 years and living abroad in Europe and South America. Because of my time overseas and my husband working in the Middle East, I have a cultural understanding of how people feel when they are away from family, their country or loved ones which helps me to be a more effective therapist.
Professional Qualifications
I hold a Masters degree as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor here in North Carolina.
